Home Garden

Our flowers are grown here locally in West Jordan.

A signature service that we love to provide you is that we sell a unique variety of awe-inspiring annual and perennial flowers. Some that you’ve never seen before!

We grow most of our flowers here. Many, such as our Petunias, Zinnias, and Marigolds, are started from seed. Others, our “premium annuals,” are grown from quality patented cuttings that will become robust and healthy sun-loving Geraniums, trailing Petunias, and verbena, as well as shade plants like Coleus, and much more. When they’re ready, we move them from our production houses to our retail greenhouse where they will find you! We have many options for sun and shade.

We’re happy to help you find the right flowers for your pots and your yard. Ask us!

We begin growing our flowers early in the spring by planting them in seed trays. The trays are transferred to our sprouting chambers where the seeds thrive. Once the seeds have sprouted and have had time to take root they are transplanted to larger cups where they will have more room to grow. We also root out quality patented cuttings to produce robust geraniums and premium annuals. Once our flowers are in bloom, we move them from our production greenhouses to our retail greenhouse where you find them ready to take home to your yard!

Custom Planter Pots

A trademark beauty in our greenhouse is our selection of planter pots and hanging baskets. Grown in all shapes, colors and sizes you’ll find one that thrills you! Our designers spend the first couple of spring months designing and planting each one.

Buy one of ours or we’d LOVE to design and grow your pots for you! Here’s all you need to know:

  1. Bring your empty planter pots in every spring beginning in March and work with our designers to build a beautiful planter that will look fantastic on your porch, patio or in the yard. We also have empty pots available for purchase.
  2. Let our designers know a color scheme you would like and if your pot will be in the sun or shade. Do you have any favorites to go in your pots like sweet potato vine or verbena? Let us know that too!
  3. We love designing, planting and caring for your pots while they take root!
  4. Your pots are generally ready for pick up several weeks later. Our customers often pick them up just after Mother’s Day, generally after the last frost.

Let us design something just for you or a loved one! Come see us today!

Plant Your Own

Hanging Baskets

We plant 1,500 hanging baskets every year. Our baskets are uniquely designed and individually planted to provide you with an extraordinary variety of full, beautiful color. Our baskets are started in February and are ready for your home or business in May.

*Remember to feed (fertilize) your pots and baskets regularly and according to product instructions. The only nutrients they get are what you give them. As you care for your plants they will stay vibrant all summer long!

Trees & Shrubs

We have a nice selection of fruit and ornamental trees and berries. You’ll find raspberries, grapes, roses, redbuds, fruitless flowering crab-apples, weeping trees, and more.

Crab-apples grow well in our area with our soil and cold temperatures!

Veggies

We grow all of our vegetables in our greenhouses or bring them in from local growers so you know you have a high quality start to your home garden. Come in the early spring to find cool season veggies. We have heirloom tomatoes, and a wide variety of peppers, cucumbers, melons and squash. We may have your “hard to find” variety here! Come check it out.

We also have “all-in-one” salsa and pasta sauce planter pots. That’s all you need in one spot! Use this for your fresh fall dining or they also make great gifts!

Herbs

We have a distinctive variety of herbs that are great for culinary and medicinal purposes! We pride ourselves in bringing in some that go beyond the average that you’ll see in other traditional garden centers. We value the fact that individuals use herbs for a large variety of reasons and hope to provide what you’re looking for.

Come to one of our “Herb Classes” with an expert who will teach you how to use what you grow!

Garden Supplies

We have a great variety of regular and organic lawn foods ranging from pre-emergents to fertilizers. If you want to prevent weeds, get your pre-emergent on early in the spring.

We can satisfy your soil amendment and compost needs. We carry compost in all sizes including bulk bags.

***Try our own Schmidt’s best-selling garden soil mix. It’s perfect for growing almost anything, including your flowers and vegetable garden.

Great garden tools, including some that cater to women’s hands that are sized smaller.

Fairy Gardens

Fairy gardens are a delightful little place to go where imagination and creativity are always at play. Fairies and all the cozy little things that make their garden a home are available here! These miniature gardens can be kept inside and grown all year long or planted outside with in-ground plants.

Remember to use a light potting soil that contains peat and is meant for indoor plants, rather than garden soil if keeping your fairy garden in a container inside!
